I’m an award-winning journalist, podcast producer, and audio teacher.
I love what I do.
I’m building the future of media by
writing on Substack
producing award-winning podcasts
and teaching at NYU, Hunter College, and Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
I’ve also made work for The Chicago Tribune, NBC News & MSNBC, Audible, Vox, Netflix, Pineapple, and more.
Shows I’ve contributed to have been written about in The New York Times, NPR, The Guardian, BBC TV, MSNBC, and recognized with local and national awards, including a Peabody Award and Pulitzer nomination.
My students call me passionate. My colleagues call me effusive. My cats don’t know what podcasts are.
And I think a lot about the power of a good gimmick.
